Why Vehicle CCTV helps reduce cost linked to Blind spots

Reversing and Manoeuvring Incidents

For both fleet and private vehicles a huge proportion of accidents occur when vehicles are reversing, or manoeuvring with limited vision. These costs can be significantly reduced with the use of vehicle safety systems. Primarily, a robust reversing camera system such as a DVR system with an LCD screen will greatly improve visibility in problem blind spot areas. This is very beneficial for all types of vehicles including; HGVs, LGVs, light commercials and even domestic vehicles. Proximity sensors, located at the rear and sides of a vehicle, also help to guard against vehicle damage. This may be when parking, reversing or manoeuvring large vehicles in tight spaces. Read more

Why you should use Vehicle CCTV in your business transport

Vehicle CCTV has come a long way in the last 5 years.  CCTV used day to day has moved a stage further and become mobile.  With roads becoming busier and more congested vehicle CCTV will help any company reduce costs, helps the driver and saves lives.

The normal setup is 1 x forward facing camera, 2 x side cameras and 1 x rear.  All 4 cameras will be recording to 2 x SD cards.  These will record up to 5 days’ worth of recording before over writing themselves.

We fit a 7” in cab monitor which for added safety shows the driver the near side (for cyclists) then the rear when placed into reverse.

With traffic as it is today I would want my drivers to have as many driver aids as possible. This is why you should use Vehicle CCTV.

The popularity of using Vehicle CCTV surveillance cameras

The popularity of using Vehicle CCTV surveillance cameras has increased tremendously over the past few years. These devices are no longer limited to buildings or large companies and can be easily purchased from a wide variety of companies.

Vehicle cameras have several features and advantages, which mainly depend on the price being paid. However even the basic of systems allows the owners to support any incident, in terms of fault! More complex systems also allow the user to view live data through the usage of Wi-Fi or 3G networks, to help mitigate high risk situations.

So Why Do Vine Offer Vehicle CCTV Hardware?

Most companies have seen increases in their insurance premiums over the last few years, due to 50/50 claim splits and possible fraudulent claims through gangs or even the culture of “where’s there a blame, there’s a claim & No win no fee”, and with insurance companies paying out on whiplash injuries on very low speed impacts!

With vehicle CCTV not only will you stop the 50/50 split decision’s you will also be able to record damages to other vehicles and persons post incident, so there is reduced risks of the other parties claiming more damages, through CCTV images.

This is why Vine Communications Ltd, has started an online shop! Vine has sourced Vehicle CCTV at very competitive prices, which have proven very popular with existing customers! The online shop has given Vine another medium to sell robust CCTV hardware, without having to increase costs.

Vehicle CCTV is proven to be one of the best investments for businesses, as current customers are starting to see their insurance premiums fall, when most are increased year on year.

So if you have been affected by insurance premium increases or want to offer a high customer service level, have a look at the Vine Shop and give us some feedback!

Pay as you go vehicle tracking for SME Businesses

I think we can all agree that times are hard now. Businesses are finding it harder and harder to expand their businesses or simply improve their businesses due to the lack of cash flow. The banks are not lending to the SME businesses as no one wants to take on the risk. It is a crying shame that SME businesses are being pushed into liquidation by banks not funding their cash flow or large businesses and their excessive payment terms. We have all experienced the bank refusing us a temporary overdraft or a loan due to not enough banking history with a SME business.
